 PRESENTATIONS

Jared Flood: Brooklyn Tweed Designs
Brooklyn Tweed started as a simple blog, and Jared Flood has created a major American brand. His singular vision and talent touches every part of of Brooklyn Tweed. Words, pictures, and stories will be central to a look deep into the BT design process.

Gudrun Johnston: The Shetland Trader
Gudrun Johnston took over the mantle of The Shetland Trader from her mother, knitwear designer Patricia Johnston.  Gudrun's work pulls heavily from her Shetland heritage. Learn more about the Shetland islands, Gudrun's design influences, and the famed Shetland Hap shawl.

Luigi Boccia: Brooklyn Tweed Makes It Work
Domestic supply chain: unexciting words for a most exciting story. Brooklyn Tweed yarn is all-American, from growing to milling, spinning to dyeing. How does it all work, and what does it mean for you as a knitter?

Kel Moore: Yarn Matters
We have so many choices when it comes to yarn—woolen vs worsted spun, plied vs single, Merino vs. Rambouillet—and what we choose affects how we knit. Kel's primer on yarn will highlight the differences between many types of wool yarn, and what you need to know to become a better, more informed knitter.

Everybody: Group Project
All day Saturday, we'll be working on the same project together! The Yarnery and Brooklyn Tweed will provide the yarn, pattern, and helpful instruction throughout the day. We'll let you know what needles you need to have with you for the project.
