At The Yarnery, we believe knitting can change the world, and that making and creating are powerful acts in a disposable world. We love to knit together (and crochet! and weave! and anything with fiber!), laugh and learn together. Most importantly, we believe in equality and respect and optimism.
The Yarnery has been a Minnesota fiber arts institution for 45 years. Founded by the Kreisman family, the shop is now owned by Shelly Sheehan and Scott Rohr. Located on Grand Avenue in Saint Paul's most vibrant shopping district — historic Victoria Crossing — The Yarnery is surrounded by great restaurants and unique shops, with plenty of parking available.
Whether you shop at the store or online, you'll find high-quality natural fibers in a full range of weights and colors. The Yarnery is particularly proud of its exclusive relationships with some of the most in-demand yarn companies. The shop is a flagship stockist of Brooklyn Tweed, Shibui Knits, and Woolfolk yarns. We work hard to stock an array of hard-to-find yarns from across the world and right in our neighborhood.
The shop also carries a comprehensive range of patterns from talented in-house and internationally-known designers. After the publishing success of Wearwithall: Knits for Your Life, The Yarnery team recently launched a new pattern series; Wearwithall designs features modern classics for the entire family, from knitwear designers you love. Looking to learn? The Yarnery's class catalog is comprehensive and innovative, with teachers among the most respected in the industry.
At The Yarnery we take the needs of our customers seriously, even as we make knitting, weaving, and crocheting what it should be: fun! Count on finding the classes, clinics, and events that help you find the community you've been looking for. Please stop in and say hello; we'll help you find your perfect project.
