Kathmandu Poncho

Modeled on the beautiful cashmere shawls worn by women of Nepal, this basic shape can either be sewn to make an easy-to-wear poncho or left straight and used as a stole. Pattern is written in two sizes.

Finished dimensions: Smaller version: approximately 50 inches long and 18 inches wide. Larger version: approximately 57 inches long and 25 inches wide.

Experience Level: Advanced Beginner

Materials: 2 skeins (227 yds/skein) lace weight mohair silk blend and 2 skeins (200 yds/skein) novelty yarn. Models are knit using Kidsilk Haze from Rowan and Paris Nights (lavendar) from Ironstone Yarns or Eros from Plymouth (black).
