PEEP (Progressive East End Project) is in its fourth year, with six east-metro Twin Cities area shops participating: 3 Kittens Needle Arts, Darn Knit Anyway, Knitting from the Heart, Muse2320, Sheepy Yarn Shoppe, and The Yarnery. And because the project is going virtual, you can participate from anywhere! Get your kit now (before they sell out), and we'll cast on together August 26.
As you think about participating in this year's PEEP Mystery KAL, a bit of info about the project: Riverfront, designed by Scott Rohr, is a gender-neutral rectangular scarf. The pattern is accessible enough for an inexperienced knitter, and engaging to a more advanced knitter. You need to be able to do three things: knit, slip a stitch purlwise, and count (there are no pattern repeats in the entire pattern). You'll need a US 4 (3.5 mm) 32" or 40" circular needle. We'll share more info as we get closer to cast-on day, August 26.
Or choose crochet! Our crochet pattern, Oceanfront, is a rectangular scarf in two widths. Designed by Laura Rasmussen, the scarf uses basic crochet stitches (single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet). If you can count, you can crochet this scarf! You'll need a size G hook.
