Tiffany Valley

In the end, Northern Farms Project is about finding yarn that a) we love to knit; and b) is ethically produced within a day's drive of the shop. Meet the project's first yarn, Tiffany Valley. Named for the valley where Judie and Greg operate Hickory Hills farm, the yarn is American Rambouillet and merino, single-sourced from the farm, and spun into a DK-weight 2-ply. The yarn is soft but wooly, with six natural shades and a subtle—almost-felted—feel when blocked.

Fiber content: 100% American Rambouillet and merino wool

Yardage: 155 yards

Weight: 2 ounces

Gauge: 5.25–5.75 stitches per inch

    Tiffany Valley Yarn

Posted by Fred Gorelick on 22nd Oct 2018

Having only recently received the two beautiful skeins of this DK yarn I haven't yet knit with them. They are situated on my desk providing inspiration as how they will be employed. The feel and even the smell of the yarn tempts me to purchase more.
