    Works well, beautiful colors

I’m fairly new to crocheting, and chose shelter (color:camper) to make a sweater. The texture feels nice to work with, and I am told it “blooms” quite nicely once blocked. The range of colors almost made it difficult to decide, but I LOVE the tweed and color variation in camper. The only downside to this yarn is that if you pull too hard it does break. It seems to be fairly sturdy once it’s been crocheted up but I’ll have to wait and see when I’ve finished the sweater.

    Love Shelter!

As always BT yarns are great and I really like the new marled colors. Have knit several sweaters in Shelter. They have held up well even when worn by 10 & 12 year old boys, let alone 50 & 75 year old boys!

    Great yarn!

I tried out Brooklyn Tweed Shelter on a small project - a cabled hat - to see how I like it before getting more for a bigger project. I swatched it before proceeding and was pleased with the stitch definition and softness after blocking. I'll definitely get more for a sweater in the future.

    Best yarn ever!

I recently knit a pullover sweater out of Shelter and am totally smitten. It definitely has a scratchy, rough hand but softens and blooms like a dream with blocking. I love everything about Shelter including the sheer weightlessness of the finished garment! I'm already planning my next project using this lovely yarn!

I have knit with this yarn several times. Easy to knit with and easy to wear. A good selection of colours. Softens and blooms with a good soaking.

Heavenly yarn! Such a joy to knit with, I was skeptical about spending the money on it, but now that I've been working with it for about a week I can honestly say it was worth every penny! Seriously, don't even think about it, buy it and feel the joy!

    Shelter a great yarn

Posted by AndreA on 15th May 2014

Its a great yarn to work with, the colours are outstanding! Because its a tweed so the yarn has more than one colour undertone.
So if u pair for example a neutral colour yarn with a warm colour, the colour or tone of the yarn is going to be different than if u pair it with a cold colour.
And the yarn blooms after you bloock it
    Love BT Shelter

    Brooklyn Tweed Shelter

When I first opened my parcel I thought oops wrong yarn and wrong colour! After finishing am now very pleasantly surprised as love the result this yarn gives. Lots of sharp vegetable matter in the yarn which needed picking out. Apart from that very kind on the hands.

Brooklyn Tweed is one of my favourite yarn.
This time Im using Truffle hunt, What a nice colour, is it gray, is it brown? also has some blues undertones.
Its not very soft while knitting but once you soak it, its very soft, its like the yarn blooms =)
    Love BT

What can I say about Shelter... depends on the pattern this yarn can be elegant and classy or casual and a bit rustic
I love the feeling of it and the colour
