From designer and author Weichien Chan: "This book is a deeply personal and special project for me. I wrote this during one of the hardest times. A year ago, I lost my soul bun, Saskatchewan. I struggled and lost my spark for designing. After taking some time to slow down and process everything, I read that writing helps with grief and so I tried putting my thoughts into paper. I decided to explore modular knitting construction, a way of designing that is different what I’m used to, while still incorporating my passion - colorwork and bunnies. And so, I wrote saskie knits. A book filled with patchwork colorwork designs, something completely unique from what you’ve seen from me. A book that encapsulates the grief of losing a soul pet. I hope that anyone going through the same loss knows they’re not alone. And I hope to keep saskie’s memory alive, one design at a time."
Weichien Chan is the author of one of our favorites, Arctic Knits.
