Class Policies

Cancellations

No refunds on class registrations. Student cancellations must be made one week prior to the first class session to receive a store credit. No makeup sessions are available for missed sessions of multi-session classes. If The Yarnery needs to cancel a class for any reason (including weather) we will notify registrants via phone or email. We will offer a refund if we're unable to reschedule the class. 

Private Lessons and Help Lab

All private instruction sessions must be paid in full in advance of the lesson. The lesson is not considered reserved until payment has been made. If payment has not been made within 24 hours of scheduling, the lesson will be cancelled. No refunds are available, regardless of circumstance, unless cancelled by the shop and/or instructor. We will make every effort to reschedule a lesson depending upon instructor availability if lesson is cancelled more than 24 hours in advance. If lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, the payment is forfeited.

Fees and Discounts

Class fees do not include supplies unless indicated. The Yarnery offers a 10% discount on class supplies.

Supplies

Please purchase materials ahead of time and bring them with you to the first class session. Plan on arriving in plenty of time before your first class (visiting a few days before is ideal!) to purchase supplies, especially if you need to have yarn wound. 

Participation

Minimum age for classes is 16 unless otherwise specified. We offer private lessons for all ages, and occasionally schedule custom classes designed for kids, both with and without adults.

All classes are held in-person at 2040 St. Clair Ave, St. Paul, MN 55105. Check in at the counter to find out where your class is meeting.
