We say it all the time (and even have it on a sticker), blocking is magic! If blocking isn't your thing, if you're intimidated by or skeptical of it, we're going convert you. And we're not just going to talk about it — we'll get our hands wet! We'll soak, wash, lay flat, pin, and talk about all the considerations of different fabric characteristics.
Materials Needed
If you'd like, bring any small project — mittens, hat, cowl, etc — that would benefit from blocking. If it has a cable or lace work, all the better! If you'd like advice about blocking any larger items, bring them along. We won't be able to block them during the workshop, but we can make a plan! Please also bring an absorbent bath towel.
If you block a small item during the class you'll need to come back to the shop to pick it up after it's dry.
