How is the scarf constructed?
Linen stitch is easy to learn: a series of knit and slipped stitches. The scarf is knit lengthwise, using a new color for each row. The tails are twisted into fringe — no weaving in ends!
I want to pre-order but the kits are listed as out of stock. Can I reserve one?
If the kit is listed as out of stock, we've temporarily reached capacity for pre-orders. We will add quantity when we're able, so check back. We are not creating a waitlist for this kit.
I remember specific linen stitch kit colorways. Will you be recreating those?
Our current plan is to have one colorway available — in the colors listed above — that most resembles our colorful, "classic" colorway. Malabrigo has discontinued many colors of Worsted, so we are limited to the number of colorways we can effectively create.
Do you have current colorways knit up so I can see what the scarf will look like?
No. We strive to create colorful, balanced colorways that look great in this stitch pattern. We've been creating these kits for a while, and have a sense of what works well. Some of the photos you see here give you a sense of how colors work together in the linen stitch pattern.
Can I create my own kit?
The pattern is available separately, and you can choose your own full skeins of Malabrigo Worsted. You'll need at least 3 skeins of yarn to have enough to knit the scarf, though the more colors you choose, the more colorful your scarf will be. We do not sell individual partial skeins like those we use in our kit.
