Trail Mix is a pattern for a family of hats — child through adult large. The pattern features a simple slipped-stitch motif. Trail Magic is a granny-stripe crocheted scarf, with the rows separating to create fringe. Clever, magical! Both projects are suitable for advanced beginners.

Trail Mix (knit) or Trail Magic (crochet) printed pattern. Choose KNIT or CROCHET when ordering so we send you the correct pattern. Yarn quantities are identical.
Stumptown DK by Polka Dot Sheep: 1 full skein (231 yds, 100 g) in custom color Fairy Trail and 3 partial skeins (57 yds, 25 g) in Atlantis, Beartooth, and Sage. The kit includes yarn enough to knit all three hats (and a pompom or two), or the crocheted scarf.
