Vovó (Portuguese for grandma) is a versatile, hard-wearing yarn made entirely from fine Portuguese wool, mainly from Serra da Estrela sheep. The sport-weight cousin of Mondim, it's a great choice for sweaters and cardigans that get daily wear. Vovó is made from the wool of free range sheep. Mulesing is not practiced in Portugal.
Shades 01, 20, 60 and 80 are undyed. Like all Retrosaria yarns, Vovó is non-superwash and not bleached.
