A comprehensive colorwork course. Cruden is a traditional Fair Isle vest worked from the bottom up entirely in the round. After cutting the steeks (yes, you can do it!), open stitches are picked up around the armholes and neck and ribbed bands are worked in one of the contrast colors. You'll learn about stranded knitting technique, color dominance, steeking, speed swatching in the round (no homework before the class begins!), and much, much more. Some simple colorwork experience is recommended before taking this class.
Materials Needed
Cruden vest pattern (available on Ravelry)
Non-superwash fingering weight yarn; possibilities incude:
Shetland Spindrift by Jamieson's of Shetland
Supersoft 4ply by JC Rennie
Supersoft by Holst Garn
Please purchase materials ahead of time and bring them with you to the first class session. Registration for a class indicates you have read and agree to the class policies.
