Knitting California features unique hats inspired by the beauty of California’s natural treasures and distinctive landmarks. The patterns were created by knitting designer, author, and proud Californian, Nancy Bates.
The 26 patterns range from simple constructions depicting the gold rush or the Golden Gate Bridge, to more challenging stitch patterns such as the Forests of the North. From wine country to orange groves, gray whales to monarch butterflies, and everything in-between, the beauty of California is depicted in these charming hats.
One of the patterns in Knitting California celebrates Monarchs of the Central Coast. Our Monarch Yarn Set includes all the yarn you need to knit this spectacular design. Included in the yarn set are pre-wound partial skeins of Malabrigo Worsted in the colors Black Forest (50 g), Glazed Carrot (50 g), Sunset (25 g), and Natural (25 g).
Monarch Yarn Sets are wound to order and available online only. If you're local, order online for in-store pickup and we'll send you a notice when your yarn set is available.
