Short rows can be used decoratively to create shapes and wedges (as in the Ellsworth Wrap, pictured). They're also used to help shape garments properly; for instance, short rows may be added in the back of a sweater to make back and front hang evenly. And there are as many kinds of short rows as there are uses for them! This workshop will explore several varieties of short rows, and you'll learn how useful, simple, and fun they all are to accomplish.

Materials Needed
US 7 (4.5 mm) or US 8 (5 mm) knitting needles
Smooth, light-colored worsted weight yarn
Locking stitch markers

Before Class
With yarn and needle listed above, cast on 20 sts and knit approx. 2" in stockinette st (knitting right side rows, purling wrong side rows). Leave stitches on needle and bring swatch to class.

Please purchase materials ahead of time and bring them with you to the workshop. Registration for a class indicates you have read and agree to the class policies.
