If knitting a sweater feels daunting, take it step by step! Florence Miller's Step by Step Sweater is the perfect way to start. It's a well-written pattern (and free!), it's super stylish, and looks fantastic in a wide variety of yarns. We're spacing the class out so you have plenty of knitting time, and plenty of instruction. You'll gain a ton of new skills.

Worsted/Aran weight yarn. Recommendations include:

US 7 (4.5 mm) and US 9 (5.5 mm) 16" and 32" circular needles
Tapestry needle
