Handknit socks are a coveted gift, so knitting a magical pair right before the holidays? That's just good planning! Welcome the holidays, and winter, with the versatile Winter Magic Socks by Knitty Natty.
There's plenty to learn: the pattern allows you to work toe-up or top down, and you'll explore several different heel treatments, choosing the method you like best.
You'll be most successful in this class if you have knit a simple sock, completed Socks 101, or have experience with small gauge, small circumference knitting.
Materials Needed
Winter Magic Socks patteryn by Knitty Natty, available on Ravelry
100 g fingering-weight sock yarn (main color); 20 g each of 2 contrast colors (Snug and Spun minis or Malabrigo Ultimate Sock minis are great options here)
US 1 (2.25 mm) and US 2 (2.75 mm) or US 3 (3.25 mm) double pointed needles (larger size is for colorwork portion), or 32"/40" circular needle for Magic Loop method.
NOTE: This class does not include Magic Loop instruction. Opt. beading is not included in this class (the instructor recommends knitting the socks without them for most wearable socks).
